Laundry pickup and delivery in Hawthorn

Hawthorn is roughly half renters, driven by Swinburne University’s student population and the apartment stock along Glenferrie Road. The share houses cluster within a few blocks of campus on streets like Wakefield, William, Henry, and Lynch, where single-fronted Victorian cottages are rented out to three or four people sharing one compact machine. Along the Glenferrie Road corridor itself, mid-rise apartment buildings are going up constantly: several developments between Burwood Road and Barkers Road have been completed or approved in the last few years, and many have European laundry cupboards rather than proper laundry rooms. Move a few blocks west toward the Yarra and it’s a different world: the Grace Park Estate on Linda Crescent and Hilda Crescent has grand Federation homes on large blocks with full laundry setups. Our residential clients here range from share houses to families in period homes. The laundry needs vary but the demand is consistent.

The newer apartment buildings along Glenferrie and Burwood Roads all use intercom entry, so include your building name and buzzer details when you book. The period homes and workers’ cottages have straightforward front-door access.
